You thought you did everything right. You went to school, you chose a career, you settled into an apartment, and it still feels like you’re missing something. You might wonder why you don’t feel content and happy. Getting through life has become exhausting, and painful memories are suddenly replaying on loop no matter how busy the day. Difficult moments have become days, weeks, and months of stagnation, panic, and numbness. Family and friends try to support, but you’re tired of their unsolicited advice and well-meaning sentiments. You might even feel like a burden. No one ever told you that life could be this hard.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and didn’t feel accepted or understood. Maybe you’ve never been in therapy before and you’re not sure you want to talk to a stranger about your innermost thoughts and feelings.

I know that reaching out is difficult to do. I also know what it’s like to be nervous that you are just wasting time and that nothing will help you get out of this rut.

My approach to therapy is creative, collaborative, and straightforward. I specialize in a modality called Chairwork, and through this I am able to help patients discover what is at the core of their challenges without spending many years hoping that things will reveal themselves through talking alone. Patients who work with me empower themselves by honoring their pasts, fostering courage to live in the here-and-now, and formulating realistic approaches for life challenges.

Therapy is a means to tap into your personal potential. It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey.

Follow-Up Session: $180 (55-minutes)

Session Structure

Initial Session: I’ll spend the first half of the session on an intake assessment and getting a picture of your primary concerns, challenges, and goals. The second half of session will be focused on Chairwork, which is a modality I specialize in that really cuts to the core of issues so that solutions can be more quickly revealed. After our initial session, you will have a clear idea if you believe we are a good fit and would like to schedule a follow-up session. There is no pressure to move forward if you find that I may not be the right therapist for you!

Follow-Up Session: Sessions often include a psychodynamic portion (“talk therapy”) in addition to Chairwork. Depending on the presenting issues, I may assign homework assignments, recommended reading, or some structured self-care.

Insurance

I do not accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. I provide receipts that patients can use for reimbursement. If your insurance plan provides reimbursement for out-of-network providers, you will receive financial reimbursement checks directly mailed to you.
